SVZ Desert Air, 2024
THE TERMINAL
The Terminal, both as an airport and a stage, serves as a space of transition – a bridge between where we are and where we’re going. Time feels elastic here, stretching and collapsing as planes take off in the background. We find ourselves surrounded by entertainment, refreshment, and information – elements designed to keep us alert, awake, and engaged. Whether we’re heading somewhere new or returning home, The Terminal holds the promise of what’s to come.
Beyond this, The Terminal can also be understood as a structure – functional and built to accommodate crowds, layered with cladding, signs, billboards, and everyday objects that often go unnoticed. In this environment, beauty reveals itself – the beauty of the ordinary that resonates with our memories, connecting us to experiences that are both local and international.
At The Terminal, we celebrate this shared experience. Regardless of who we are or where we’re headed, we all arrive together in the same moment. It is within this in-between space that we believe we can find our true common ground.
