a Farmer Surrounded by it’s Nature

Installation for Domaine De Graux at Buda Fabriek Kortrijk.

“Some prefer shade, while others seek the open air. Some thrive near water, while others find their home in fertile soil. Some prefer human-made structures, while others make their homes in the branches of trees.

This installation celebrates the intrinsic beauty of our diverse world and what already exists. The objects displayed here are forgotten treasures found at the back of a farm shed at Domaine de Graux – artifacts too intriguing to discard, awaiting a new purpose.

As time passes, nature begins to reclaim these objects. Insects and animals find refuge in this reclaimed space. This prompts us to think about what happens when we extend our care to these overlooked places. The seemingly disorganized objects find new life when carefully arranged, a new structure that values the undefined space, not for humans, but for nature.’’
