 We, Theo De Meyer & Doorzon interieur architecten collect a number of our objects in their current capacity. We show a constellation and bring others along.
The floorlamp, for example, was part of a scenography for and with visual artist and curator Manor Grunewald, just like the chair of cement tiles.

The stool is a design by doorzon interieur architecten (Caroline Lateur and Stefanie Everaert) for the Architecture Biennale in Venice.
Setting up a cabinet was realized by Theo De Meyer in collaboration with Arthur Dekker. Atelier Ternier produces the Lyboutable for doorzon. Lisa De Brouwere starts to think about a book.

A collective takes shape.

De collectie van Stand Van Zaken is het resultaat van samenwerkingen tussen Stefanie Everaert, Caroline Lateur (samen Doorzon interieurarchitecten), Theo De Meyer en meer dan 45 personen, gaande van grafische vormgevers tot schrijvers, vaklui en fotografen.

Stand Van Zaken is steeds een momentopname. De meubelen delen, naast hun ontstaan in samenwerkingsverband, eenzelfde uitgangspunt: vrijheid van denken en het plezier van creatie. De basis zijn meestal gewone bouwmaterialen die op een spitsvondige manier ingezet worden: rioolpijpen uit grèskeramiek worden de poot van een tafel; ventilatiebuizen worden een lamp; polyethyleen plaat—vaak gebruikt voor snijplanken—wordt een tafelblad; betonplex platen bouwen een modulaire kast. Deze op zich eenvoudige, industriële materialen worden met respect en precisie behandeld, waardoor ze een bijzondere allure krijgen.

De creatieve vrijheid die aan de oorsprong van deze meubelen ligt, ligt ook besloten in hun functionaliteit. Ze overtreffen de verwachtingen van de gebruiker door hun flexibiliteit. Zo kan de modulaire kast hoger of lager worden, of gesplitst, of compact ingepakt en makkelijk heropgebouwd. De geometrische blokken schuim van de Zetel kunnen vrij geschikt worden om te zitten, liggen, ontspannen of werken, alleen of met meerdere personen. Ook de Table Lybou, ontworpen voor een lyceum, kan verschillende constellaties aannemen.
